The Thomas C. Ackerman Foundation (the “Foundation”) is a nonprofit corporation the sole purpose of which is to provide funds and incentive grants to qualified nonprofit organizations. This Privacy Policy describes how the Foundation may collect and use limited personal information necessary (“Personal Information”) to achieve this purpose.
“Personal Information” We May Collect
The Foundation does not generally collect the “Personal Information” of individuals. It does collect information pertaining to organizations that apply for grants from the Foundation. However, because nonprofit organizations are managed by and communicate through living individual persons (“Spokespersons”), certain “Personal Information” of a Spokesperson may be collected, such as:
• First and last name of Spokesperson;
• Password;
• Position of Spokesperson with the requesting nonprofit organization;
• Mailing address of Spokesperson and/or nonprofit organization;
• Email address of Spokesperson and/or nonprofit organization; and,
• Telephone Number of Spokesperson and/or nonprofit organization.
How Such “Personal Information” Might Be Used by the Foundation
Any “Personal Information” which may be collected by the Foundation is/will be used only to:
• Process an application for a grant;
• Respond to inquiries of nonprofit organizations seeking information from the Foundation, and,
• Maintain in the internal records of the Foundation the names and other information related in particular to the determination by the Foundation Board of Directors to fund or withhold from funding grants to nonprofit organizations.
“ Personal Information” Is Not Sold, Bartered, Shared, Disclosed or Used Other Than As Stated Herein.
The Foundation does not share, barter, use, sell, or otherwise disclose any “Personal Information” it may collect.
